Ever been in a season where you feel like you’re just putting out and putting out but getting little to nothing in return? You’re at a point where you’re just drained from being everything to everyone. Yet you do what you have to do regardless. And although you push through the trials and weariness that bombard you, you have to admit you’re just tired of being tired. You’re ready for it all to be over, just let life coast and let the good times roll.
God delights in you
If no one sees your efforts, God does. Our tasks and unknown deeds can become an act of worship when we dedicate it all unto the Lord rather than living off of the acceptance of people who consistently leaves us void (Colossians 3:23). Redirect who your performance is for and continue to honor Him faithfully by doing it in excellence and praise. Psalm 37:23 tells us that He delights in every detail of our lives. Just think how beautiful it is that God is delighting in us as we take on the responsibilities of our life with dedication knowing that He’s pleased. Just the thought of our Father warmly smiling down on our personal efforts is enough fulfillment in itself. Whether that be having the integrity to make the right decision in life when its easier to choose the wrong reaction or silently persisting without reward or recognition He fully delights in our faithfulness. And He tells us to not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (Galatians 6:9) So remember, if no one else, God delights in you.
Persistence exercises endurance.
God is more concerned with your character than your comfort. People may test you, financial burdens will make you want to doubt and problems out of your control will randomly arise. Although it may not seem like it now, there is the gift of endurance in these struggles. Endurance builds strength. And this allows us to have the strong foundation we need to enter the obstacles of our future that will take us higher in life. Its not about coasting, its about climbing! And its not half as much about what you deal with as it is how you deal with it. Every opportunity we have to lose our minds is also an opportunity to hold steadfast and mold our character. And as we continue to prove faithful in how we deal with all we have we will can blessed with more.
Do something you love to do.
I mentioned this in a recent articles post and I’ll say it again, don’t forget about you. Get out of the house. Try something new. Invest in something you personally have a passion for even if it goes unrecognized and unrewarded. You’ll find it personally rewarding by awakening and bringing inspiration to your soul again. Sometimes we get so caught up in busyness that we forget to refuel in the passions that we were born with. For some of us thats singing, drawing, writing, dancing, whatever! Invest in and enjoy the gifts God gave you. I believe God delights in us when we delight in the gifts He’s given us.
Remember your life serves a purpose, especially to those around you.
Whatever you do, no matter how big or small it’s making waves across our world thats producing change for good. Whether you’re a mother raising up a member of the next generation or a professional furthering the gospel in your career by the example of your behavior and lifestyle; it all makes on impact. It’s with every single person we touch, especially those who depend on us. Dont you see, its not about you? Its about impacting the world and people around us by the little decisions we make day in and day out to persist in good character and dedication even when we want to do nothing but throw in the towel. There will be days where you are done. When you believe you simply cannot take it anymore. But God gave you this life because He knows with Him you have the strength to live it. You were called long before you made the decision to be an agent of His Kingdom and so He has supplied all you need in advance. He is not absent-minded of your life. Continue to draw near to Him because He not only has the solution but He is the solution.
God sees you. He has you. He delights in you in every moment. While we go on believing in God is it not awesome to know that He also believes in us and He is doing a work in us until the day Christ returns. He has not given up on you or your life so dont you dare do it either.
